Tanner Mullens visits Heart O' Texas Speedway for MOD WARS 100

Tanner Mullens trekked to Heart O’ Texas (Waco, Texas) on Wednesday afternoon to compete with some of the nation’s best Modified drivers for the inaugural MOD WARS 100.

With Wednesday’s All-Star Race kicking off the four-day event, Mullens backed up the third-fastest time in his group with a 12th-to-5th run in Wednesday’s $10,000-to-win opener. He trailed Cade Dillard, Jason Hughes, Terry Phillips, and Triston Dycus in the rundown.

After a sixth-place finish in Thursday’s preliminary and a 12th-place finish on Friday, Mullens’ path into the $50,000-to-win MOD WARS 100 finale was dependent on a LCQ on Saturday.

Rolling off of on the front row, Tanner raced into the 100-lap main event with a LCQ victory. Pinned on the 10th row, Mullens was an early retiree on lap 31.
