Tanner Mullens sweeps at 81 Speedway for fifth win of 2022

Tanner Mullens rumbled to his fifth win of 2022 on Saturday night in his Mel Hambelton Ford No. 02 Sandlian Iron & Metal / Mullens Race Car / Mullens Racing Engine Modified.

“We had a great car and a great time on Saturday night at 81 (Speedway). Everything worked out perfectly, and we got the win with a lot of friends and family there to enjoy it,” Mullens said. “This week, we are going to head to Lakeside Speedway and Lucas Oil Speedway to get tuned up for the upcoming USMTS events there.

“A big thank you goes out to all of our supporters. I greatly appreciate what everyone does for our team.”

On Saturday evening, Tanner Mullens entered his Mel Hambelton Ford No. 02 USRA Modified into battle at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kan.).

After starting the night off with a heat race victory, Tanner earned the pole for the feature.

Grabbing the lead at the drop of the green flag in the 20-lap finale, Mullens never looked back en route to the victory, which came over Tad Davis, Tyler Davis, Wyatt Gaggero, and Bryce Schniepp in in the feature to register his fifth win of the season.
